The Institute of Applied Technology for Construction (IATC) at TAFE NSW Kingswood – Nepean is a transformative $80 million project set to redefine construction training in Sydney’s west. This state-of-the-art facility, represents a significant collaboration between TAFE NSW and ADCO, bolstered by decades of partnership.

Situated in Kingswood, 52 kilometers west of Sydney CBD, the campus is steeped in academic heritage, home to the renowned Nepean Clinical School and Western Sydney University’s Kingswood campus. The area, rich in cultural significance on Dharug land, embraces its educational and medical precinct status within the Penrith local government area.

The IATC serves as a flagship hub for training up to 700 trades students annually. It features cutting-edge infrastructure designed to meet industry standards, including specialised workshops for masonry and structural programming. Beyond construction, the campus hosts an arts and design Centre of Excellence, simulated hotel services training, and advanced health and support services facilities.

Among its public offerings, the campus includes ‘Entrée’, a training restaurant, a hairdressing and beauty academy, and ample auditorium and conference spaces. These facilities not only enrich student learning but also engage the wider community, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
